North Alabama Culinary Festival

An annual event in Madison, AL, the 2012 North Alabama Culinary Festival moves to the courtyard of the Radisson Hotel and transforms into an evening under the stars!  This event offers the community and surrounding areas a chance to sample the best of area restaurants, caterers, breweries and wineries. With live music and a silent auction, it’s one that draws hundreds from across the North Alabama.    Taking place on Saturday, June 2^nd from 6pm to 10pm.  Get your couples ticket for $45, individual tickets are just $25 for all you can eat and drink (within legal limits).

Are you interested in showing off your restaurant or catering business?  Vendor booths start at just $75 each.

Not a food & beverage provider but want to advertise your products to discerning foodies (or hungry people in general)?  Sponsorship opportunities are also available and include signage, vendor booth and tickets to the event to distribute to your customers prior to the show.

A silent auction is also planned and your generous donation of items is yet another way you can support the Madison Chamber of Commerce.

Business Expo and Kids Day

The Madison Chamber of Commerce presents our original, signature event - The 20^th Annual MCC Business Expo & Kids Day – a free, family-friendly event! Saturday, July 28, 2012 at the Hogan YMCA in Madison, 10:00 am – 2:30 pm. Businesses will be exhibiting at the Expo, showcasing their products and services to the Madison community.

A unique element of the MCC Business Expo is entertaining the youngsters throughout the day with free activities such as face painting, balloon art, stomp rockets, tours of the Madison SWAT unit and Mobile Command Post, HEMSI ambulance and Madison fire truck as well as everyone's favorite inflatables!

The MCC Business Expo & Kids day is free to the public and features free hotdogs for everyone in attendance as long as they last!

Each year the Chamber of Commerce promotes several events that bring our community together - Connect2012; Mayoral State of the City Address, the 20th Annual Madison Business Expo & Kids Day (featuring fun family-friendly activities as well as a host of local vendors) and the North Alabama Culinary Festival (featuring a variety of local restaurateurs and caterers all hoping to whet your appetite) just to name a few.  We invite you to join us at these and other events!

The true meaning and history of the term “chamber of commerce” was first recorded in Roman’s time in 1599 and involved businessmen getting together to help each other and their villages. The first CoC in the US was in 1768, established in NY City, known as the Chamber of Commerce of New York. It was the first association of business men for the purpose of furthering their interest in business and community. It was also ranked as the first independent institution conducted separate from government. It was established for the people by the people. At MCC, we haven’t forgotten the roots and purpose of a chamber of commerce, we are taking that original commitment to another level, we are a small business, for small business with small businesses. In going back to our roots and in listening to what our members have been telling us loud and clear, we have set a new course for your chamber. You will begin to see programs changing and being developed to help your business grow and to help all of us grow a stronger community.
